Mycotoxins and our food supply Entry for March 20, 2007 (3 OF 3)

You don’t want to. I know. I met the Trichothecene Mycotoxins up close and personal, left the known place of my introduction to them in the middle of the year 2003, and to this day am in the worst pain I have ever known, and continually find myself faced with sores, pneumonia like infections, burning tingling skin, blurry vision, teeth pain, cramping organs, bone pain, degenerative discs now, and the list goes on and on.
In Canada I have: no Canadian diagnosis, an American diagnosis, a letter from US Pathologist, and a letter from a Canadian Epidemiologist,… all focused on a potential public health catastrophe involving the health trends of the population at large here. Mycotoxins are the main suspect. However, our government has so far refused to look into or honor the request by qualified professionals that there be an investigation into the cause of the health trends of the area. This refers to both human and animal health trends.
The levels of trichothecene mycotoxins found in my body set off alarm bells in the US and prompted some action in Canada that dead ended for unknown reasons. One of the letters I have ( both letters were directed to government), specifically asks for an investigation by government and suggests the local branch of the CDC. They have refused to investigate. They also refused to put their decision in writing.
I hope these bits and bites of information are opening eyes wide open.
Public knowledge is sometimes the most effective tool in affecting change.
Sometimes it is the only tool that will work.
After all, once the public knows, there is no point to secrecy. It then becomes a self defeatist methodology.
Did you know:
Fact: 250, 000 people died in Russia from eating mycotoxin contaminated food during the war.
Fact: Trichothecene mycotoxin was used in Yellow Rain which was used in the Vietnam War to defoliate the trees so the enemy could be seen coming.

Hi babs. In answer to your questions: Molds referred to as toxic molds produce the trichothecene as well as many other mycotoxins. Mycotoxins are secondary metabolites of certain molds. In other words some molds manufacture the toxins. Trichothecene mycotoxins are being produced by the toxic mold (fungus) strains which happened to be present in over abundance where I was living. They can be ingested via water or food. They can also be inhaled as they would be in the air as well as on all surfaces in the area(s) they are found. You can also develop a condition referred to as invassive fungal disease where ingested mold or inhaled spores can attach to the tissue in your lungs as an example, and begin to grow. Now the mycotoxin producing mold can continually dump organ and tissue and blood offending mycotoxins continually into your system, which will destroy your immune system over time and can lead to any number of health problems.
I was helped in the US and was put on antifungal drugs, immune boosting medications, and a binding agent to capture the free rdicals and toxins so that my body would not absorg or reabsorb them. It would have worked, but I could not keep it going long enough, and I came back to a region where I am being re exposed.
There are diet considerations that can be helpful. As crazy as it sounds, organic foods are a definate no no, as no antifungal agents are used in their food production, so there may be fungus and/or mycotoxins in this food which in my condition would harm me. Nuts are high risk food under my conditions. This is unfortunate, as the toxic mold(fungus)steals your protein(actually, all your nutrients). This topic is a whole chapter alone.

I my case, Babs, I was exposed to the trichothecene mycotoxins along with an alarmingly long list of other deadly organisms via a contaminated marsh that was flooding my rental property. Apparently people had been dumping all manner of stuff in the marsh for years, and all the septic tanks lining the marsh never did function correctly. Due to the lay of the land, there should never have been any septic systems in this area. There were multiple infrastructure breaches (water lines, septic lines, septic field drainage issues, broken storm drains) as well.

Kat O is doing some good work for us all with this pursuit. It’s very frightening that we could be looking at such a widespread and deadly threat to public health. I am suddenly near death with an undiagnosed condition that has destroyed my lungs. I’ll do what I can to forward this information to all of my doctors – too late for me but not for my children and grandchildren. Man! It’s not as if I have not already been troubled by the condition of the world I am leaving behind.

Those who deny should experience first hand what they refute.

I hopped into your blog from another blog, somewhere.. I’m very interested in this type of information.. as my own illnesses defy common everyday western medical testing and yet I know I’m not fine! I just wanted to let you know that I was here and I”ll peek around some more, if you don’t mind. I was attacked in chat, last night, for stealing friends in 360, so I want to be frank with you that I’m here and yet I’m not a stalker! LOL ~Heidi
